The first walkthrough
Gather comprehensive information on the day of initial attendance, or as part of the initial assessment. Do this by conducting a site walkthrough with the customer, insured or occupants.
Pre-existing damage
Examples are:
- Evidence of wear, use or physical damage
- Previous water intrusion or stains
- Odours
Once pre-existing damage is identified, everyone on the job should document it and bring it to the attention of materially interested parties.
