What goes in the drying log
Maintain detailed, organised logs to track progress and validate the effectiveness of the drying process.
Documentation should include psychrometric and moisture readings
- Temperature and relative humidity (RH)
- Humidity ratio (grains per pound, or gpk)
- Dew point, especially to compare with wet surfaces
- Surface temperatures of wet materials
- Moisture levels and content in both affected and unaffected materials
- Drying goals and industry standards
- The location of each reading
