Pre-remediation evaluation

• The process of collection, analysis and summary of information obtained during initial inspection.
• It identifies areas affected by moisture intrusion, or signs of potential or actual contamination.
• It summarises information to develop a clear scope of works.
• It identifies the need or requirement for specialised experts to be involved.

Pre-restoration evaluation

• A process performed by the restorer to assess the situation using data and evidence gathered during inspection, and conclusions drawn from the initial determination.
• It is followed by determining the corrective actions needed.
• The information gathered is used to develop work, drying, and safety and health plans for the project.
• It also helps identify the need to engage specialised experts to effectively dry or clean the structure and contents and achieve drying goals.
