Condensation and vapour pressure
Condensation: the process of changing from a gaseous state to a liquid state.
Evaporation potential and vapour pressure
If the vapour pressure in the air is lower than in wet materials, moisture evaporates faster. The greater the difference in vapour pressure, and the more heat energy applied, the faster the material dries.
On a psychrometric chart, dew point and humidity ratio rise or fall together as vapour pressure changes.
