Where the water comes from
Before anything else on a job, you work out how the water got in. The source tells you how dirty it is, how long it has been running and whether it has stopped.
Causes of flooding in properties:
- Natural flood event — rising floodwaters, cyclones, waterspouts
- Faulty flexi hose or plumbing
- Frozen pipes
- Hail damage
- Fridge filters and defective appliances
- Accidental damage
- Vandalism or damaging conduct
- Fire suppression system
- Tropical humidity and environmental conditions
